Butternut Squash White Bean Soup for Postpartum Recovery

white bean butternut squash soup in cooking pot

Hello, momma.

This Butternut Squash White Bean Soup is the kind of cozy, comforting meal I love making as the weather gets cooler. Roasted butternut squash, creamy cannellini beans, roasted garlic, and fresh herbs come together with vegetable broth and a little miso for a delicious, savory soup. It’s smooth, satisfying, and perfect for making ahead.

Why I Love This for Postpartum

As a postpartum doula, I always encourage families to prepare nourishing meals that are easy to reheat and enjoy. This soup is a lovely option to have tucked away in the freezer for those early postpartum weeks. The white beans provide plant-based protein and fiber, while the butternut squash adds naturally occurring vitamins and fiber. It’s a comforting way to enjoy a nourishing meal without having to cook from scratch.
