Fudgy Kabocha Squash Brownies for Postpartum Nourishment

brownies on counter kitchen

Hello, momma. 🤎

These Fudgy Kabocha Squash Brownies are a cozy little twist on a classic chocolate treat. Made with roasted kabocha squash purée, almond flour, cocoa powder, and plenty of chocolate chips, they’re soft, slightly cake-like, and wonderfully fudgy. The kabocha squash adds a lovely moisture and subtle sweetness, making these such a delicious seasonal treat.

Why I Love These for Postpartum:

As a postpartum doula, I always encourage families to prepare more than just their main meals. Having homemade snacks and little sweet treats ready to enjoy can make those early weeks feel a little easier. I love these brownies because they bring together ingredients like almond flour, which provides healthy fats, protein, and vitamin E, and cacao, which contains naturally occurring antioxidants and minerals like magnesium. And most importantly, they’re absolutely delicious. Because postpartum nourishment should include a little chocolate, too!
