Lactation + Postpartum Recovery Zesty Blueberry Overnight Oats Recipe
Hello friends,
During postpartum finding quick but nourishing breakfast options can feel daunting. not to mention the worry if the meal will have enough calories to support your lactation journey. While there is mixed information and not enough studies around galactagogues, there is enough experience that my own eyes have seen through these beautiful thirteen years as a doula. I believe that with the proper latch, nourishing calories and rest, mommas have much more success than not.
I love this blueberry overnight oats recipe because…
🤍 nutrient dense ingredients
🤍 easy digestible
🤍 lactation supportive galactagogues
My absolute favorite nourishing spring snack to make for postpartum mommas 🫶🏼 make these overnight for a quick breakfast 🤍
Make them:
½ rolled sprouted oats
½ cup goat milk
1 tsp lemon juice
½ tsp lemon zest
1 tsp maple syrup
pinch of sea salt
Blueberry Filling
½ cup blueberries (frozen or fresh)
½ tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp chia seeds
In a mixing bowl, combine the oats, milk, lemon juice + zest. Mix well. Place in small Weck storage containers in the refrigerator overnight for 6-10 hours. Create the blueberry filling by adding berries to a saucepan with the chia seeds and maple syrup until they soften. Allow to simmer for 5-10 minutes. Allow to cool before topping on your oats the next morning. Eat warm or cold! Enjoy!
happy healing!
