10 Overlooked Ways to Nourish During Postpartum - The Postpartum Guide 101
Hello Momma,
Often times when we are prepping for postpartum, we are looking at ways to recover such as body stretches, pelvic floor physical therapy and quick foods to boost lactation. But as a holistic maternal focused postpartum doula, I am looking to offer deep nourishment for the body and mind. These kind of nourishment might often be overlooked due to considering them as luxury and non essential. I want to assure you that our bodies and minds know when we are rushing our recovery.
If you are prepping for postpartum, I encourage you to take a moment to download my full guide and check out a few ways to nourish your body and mind. These might not be your top priority in the mix of feeding your baby and learning how to rest between awake times. But if you put priority on checking in with your heart and mind weekly, you might find that this kind of nourishment is actually exactly what you need. And often times when we shift some care and energy into ourselves, we have more to give for our babies. The schedules, the sleep times, the feedings will just flow better because our cups are more full.
I am putting together more lists like these to support mommas as they brainstorm for their own postpartum recovery plans. What do you think? I always love a good blog filled with inspiring lists to get my heart and mind flowing with meditation. I kindly ask you to reflect on your own needs as you read my lists, are these things that you will need to prioritize too? What can you add?
