My Postpartum Nourishing & nutty Panjeeri Recipe

bowl and plate on kitchen counter with rolled oats and nuts in panjeeri recipe

Hello mommas,

I love trying new recipes from different cultures for postpartum. There is something so beautiful about the threads woven through all cultures: warmth, nourishing, nutrient dense. While I can’t say this recipe is even close to the benefits and deliciousness of panjeeri, which is a traditional pakistani/indian postpartum healing and lactation food, it is really fun to try my hand at it. I added my own spin on all the ingredients but feel free to do your own research and add the original panjeeri ingredients to make a more nourishing recipe. These were the ingredients I could source myself but absolutely love if you want to find ones such as edible gum, fox nuts, golden raisins, flame of forest, fine semolina and powdered jaggery to name a few. Wishing you all the healing!
